The Day my External Hard drive died :(

So yesterday my beloved harddrive died.... was working perfectly fine the night before and even first thing in the morning booted up like normal.... but then I wanted to save something to it and my computer wasn't registering it. GRRRRRR!!! So I unplugged it and plugged it back in ... it tried to wind up, then wound straight back down again and did nothing.... so angry!!!!

Then the dilema came - to save the data and void warranty..... or claim under warranty and lose data........

DATA won.... a family friend is trying to save it for me... fingers crossed the actually data is okay and may be fixable... i hope...... otherwise trying to recover what's on it and have to get a new hard drive..... I just hate when things you rely on break.... and of course all uni work for the past 12 months is on it... lucky there were no half assignments as such.

Teaches me to try and back up in more than one place. . . . . . .
